Based on a small farmstead, this recently built shepherd’s hut is the perfect base for couples who want to experience something a little different without compromising quality.
Professionally hand-crafted by the owner, the hut has small wooden steps and a classic shepherd’s hut stable door. Inside, there is a sumptuous double bed, seating overlooking the surrounding countryside, a wood burner and underfloor heating to keep the hut cosy throughout the year.
Linen and towels are provided for your stay as well as a starter pack for the fire. A newly renovated farm building comprises walk-in showers, a toilet and a mirror.

The Local Area
The pretty market town of Pocklington is 1 mile away, giving you the option to walk down on a beautiful summer’s day. Here, you’ll find a range of independent shops, cosy cafés, delis and restaurants. Miles of footpath and cycle routes surround the hut and are perfect for a fantastic family walk; the footpath at the bottom of Clayfield Lane is access to the famous Yorkshire Wolds way walk.
The historic city of York and the upmarket town of Beverley are half an hour away, offering an unforgettable day out. See York from the top of Clifford’s Tower and spot the castle remains throughout the city, visit the famous Minster and explore the plethora of shops and restaurants right in the centre. Visit one of the many National Trust properties near York, Castle Howard and stroll the stunning stately home and well-kept gardens. The Shepherd’s hut is not only the perfect base for exploring bustling, historic towns but is also within reach of the East Coast and seaside towns such as Whitby and Bridlington.
